Restoration
The process of restoring a collector car can vary greatly in terms of complexity, time required and cost. At Wheels of Time, we believe it is important to sit down with a client before any work begins and develop a very clear mutual understanding of the project's scope, timetable, budget and objectives. Our ultimate goal is performing a restoration for you that is perfectly tailored to your needs, desire and budget.
The Wheels of Time team is dedicated to providing the highest level of craftsmanship possible at all times. Whether restoring a multi-million dollar show car or a more modest vehicle, our highly experienced artisans treat every project with the same level of thought, responsibility and care.
Because our company is housed within a 10,000 square foot facility that permits craftsmen from our mechanical services, engine building, metal fabrication, body work and paint shops to be housed under one roof, we are able to work on a single automobile simultaneously. This enables a high level of coordination, productivity, efficiency and communication.
Many classic automobiles constructed in the years before the 1950's were built entirely by hand. In light of this, the master craftsmen at Wheels of Time must utilize their expertise to essentially re-manufacture many cars from the ground up. Every component is examined and either reused, rebuilt, or, as a last resort, replaced, preferable with OEM parts. Oftentimes a rare part is beyond repair and unavailable. In these cases we can manufacture that part in-house to exacting specifications. We are dedicated to a restoration process that faithfully replicates the materials and construction details used by the original builders.
Research
The time-consuming process of acquiring accurate historical information is one of the most important and least acknowledged aspects of any restoration or preservation project. We research and source many of the parts and materials originally used in the particular automobile construction. Additionally, we have the knowledge and resources to conduct effective domestic and international searches for hard-to-find components for even the rarest of vehicles.
